June 20–21, 2024 on the occasion of the celebration of the 100th anniversary of the Beshenkovichi district, the Institute of History of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus together with the Beshenkovichi district executive committee and Center for Research of Belarusian Culture, Language and Literature of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus carry out scientific-practical conference “Beshankovitsky region: history and cultural decline of the region (and 100-year-old Beshankovitsky region)”.

 

More than 50 historians, archaeologists, linguists, literary critics, art historians, folklorists, archivists, local historians, museum and library employees from Beshenkovichi, Vitebsk, Grodno, Dzerzhinsk, Liozno, Minsk and Polotsk are taking part in the conference.

 

Within the framework of the event, the work of the sections was organized: “Beshankovychchyna hell of the ancient times of 1917”, “Beshankovychchyna hell of 1917 and present-day events”, “Knitted forests from Beshankovychchynay”.

 

A round table “Cultural Spadchyna of Beshankovychchyny” is scheduled for June 21
