Born on September 7, 1988 in Gomel. In 2011 he graduated from the Faculty of Philology of the Gomel State University named after F. Skaryna, and in 2012 he completed a master’s degree at the Institute for Training Scientific Personnel of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, defending his research in the specialty “Art History” (scientific supervisor – Doctor of Philology V.P. Zhuravlev .).

In 2015, he successfully completed his postgraduate studies at the Institute of Language and Literature named after. Yakub Kolas and Yanka Kupala of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, presenting his candidate’s dissertation “Modern Belarusian philosophical lyrics: issues, imagery, style,” which he defended in 2019 in the specialty 10.01.01 - Belarusian literature (supervisor - Doctor of Philosophy, Academician Gnilomedov V.V.).
 
 Member of the Writers' Union of Belarus (since 2010).
 
 Since 2015 he has been working at the Institute of Literary Studies named after. Ya. Kupala NAS of Belarus. He holds the position of head of the department “Belarusian literature of the 20th and 21st centuries”.
 
 In 2018–2019 worked on the project of the Belarusian Republican Foundation for Basic Research (BRFFR) No. G18-064 “National type of consciousness in Belarusian literature” (scientific supervisor - Gnilomedov V.V.).
 
In 2019–2020 – on the implementation of the BRFFR research work No. G19MS-011 “Belarusian-European literary relationships as a sociocultural phenomenon” (scientific supervisor - Mikulich N.V.).
 
In 2015 and 2020 – laureate of the scholarship of the President of the Republic of Belarus for talented young scientists.
 
By Resolution of the Bureau of the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus dated March 14, 2024 No. 99, A. A. Baranovsky’s candidacy was approved to receive a grant from the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus to carry out research work.
 
Since 2022, he has been a doctoral student at the Center for the Study of Belarusian Culture, Language and Literature of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus.
 
Sphere of scientific interests – study of the issues, imagery, style of Belarusian lyric poetry of the late 20th – early 21st centuries.
